It seems like all my posts lately are related to Kaama Lounge – well there’s a lot going on there, with it being a hot new restaurant ‘n’ all. Here’s a few photos from a VIP party held the night before the place opened. Slideshow below (click it, neat!), all 166 printable photos here.

Kaama Lounge is almost open, here’s a few shots from the “Friends and Family” event – a chance to to the food and cocktails and generate a buzz in anticipation of the grand opening! Everyone had fun, and I enjoyed getting some nice shots of the guests and staff! Slideshow below. All 93 photos here.

Shot down this morning to California Billiard Club near El Camino Real and Highway 85 in Mountain View. This place is easy to miss given the city’s denial of decent signage, but it’s actually a quite large venue capable of holding parties of 600! Chris Swart, one of the new owners, explained how pool halls have many stigmas that aren’t relevant – at least to his place. The place is family-friendly, safe, and even has a free ladies night on Tuesdays.

Restaurant owners always want to get shots of their establishment when it’s full of people. Photographers tend to like it when they’re empty – no pesky people getting in the way, and you can use a tripod to get those nice architectural shots without motion blur. However, with the latest digital gear shooting at high-ISO images with amazing quality, we no longer need to make the compromise of insisting on an empty restaurant.
