After one postponement due to the rain, I was determined to make today’s engagement shoot with Leon and Jennifer happen. The weather was iffy in Carmel according to the interweb, but we met up at 4pm anyways at Carmel Beach (Carmel-by-the-Sea). It’s a gorgeous, beautiful, stunning location – and the quality of light was simply amazing. An hour into the shoot it was overcast down to the horizon, but some light was peeking through and lighting up the water in a most dramatic way. It was surreal, beautiful. When adding a little off-camera fill with with my much-loved Four-Square softbox, the lighting was absolutely perfect. You can see it in the photo above.
Enter Jennifer and Leon – what a cute couple! They are so in love with each other, and totally comfortable in front of the camera I might add. They took my bossing around real well, which earns them extra bonus points! Jennifer brought her parents & grandparents to mind hang out and watch the J&L’s dog (when she wasn’t posing for us, of course).
