My name is Chris Schmauch, and I am GoodEye Photography + Design. If you’re looking for a top Bay Area professional photographer, well, you came to the right place. For me, professionalism is as much an attitude as it is a final product; from your first email and phone call to your final post-purchase follow-up, I am dedicated to top-notch service and complete satisfaction. I believe in flexibility – in the world of wedding photography, it’s a huge asset to be able to roll with changes when things go wrong, and to make opportunities out of what others may see as challenges or difficulties. Rain on your wedding day? Bust out the umbrellas and make some awesome photos out of it. Three year old throwing a tantrum during your family photo session? I’ll give ‘em some candy and make everything all right (kidding moms… I have kids myself, and have a deep well of patience for stressful situations). Think you can’t afford my prices? There’s a thousand creative solutions, and it’s rare that I can’t come up with something that will work for everyone. The bottom line is it’s my job to find out what you want and even more importantly, what you don’t – and use that knowledge to everyone’s benefit.

Yeah, that’s a double-negative. But I’m a positive guy so somehow that statement makes sense to me. You can easily find less expensive photographers, but in the end, it’s the photos that matter. I can’t tell you how many clients of mine came to me after already suffering through the process of working with cheaper services – ultimately costing them more in the long run. If you’re reading this page, you already know I have the skills and enthusiasm to make you look your best. The only thing left is price and availability. My general pricing is below (current wedding package pricing must be requested – click “contact” at the top of this page), but much of what I do is the result of custom proposals. Just contact me and provide as much info as you can and I’ll get back to you with an estimate within 24 hours. Want to see if I’m available for a specific date? I maintain an online schedule of all booked photography jobs that you can check out any time. If it appears I’m already booked, contact me anyways and I can either find a trusted professional in my place or let you know if I have a cancellation.

I encourage you to look around - I do not compromise on value or quality, and my style and service proves it. If my packages are out of your price range , I’m happy to recommend other vendors to you – just ask!. I want to customize a package that best fits your needs, but want to be clear that from April through October I only offer full-coverage packages due to high demand during those months (investment range of $3,500 to $7,000+). Off-season packages (Starting at ($1,400) are available Monday through Thursday any time of the year, and weekends November–March. Planning to elope? Check out elopement options here.

- Not a price haggler – I offer reasonable custom packages for those who take the time to meet with me. I have a limited # of wedding slots every year, so I want to make sure I work with my kind of client. My prices aren’t cheap, but my clients say they are worth every penny.
- No outsourcing! I do all my own shooting, editing and album designing – I guess I’m a quality control freak
- To get along with everyone at your wedding. Difficult MOB? Divorced parents? In my experience, parents are on their best behavior for your wedding day, and you can bet that I’ll get along with everyone.
- To be totally cool with any friends/relatives with big cameras. I’m even happy to chat with them if they have questions.
- A positive, unflappable attitude, no matter what happens. Weddings rarely adhere to their itineraries, I need to be able to roll with it all – and maintain a smile and positive attitude
- To be respectful, blend in with your friends and family – make them feel comfortable. But also able to take charge and organize large groups of people when necessary.
- To still be promptly responsive after your wedding is over, all checks are deposited. I see you as a long-term client, not just a one-day-stand (ha!)
